院校概况
中密歇根大学建于1892年，是全美第49位四年制公立大学，密歇根州15所公立学校中的第四大学校。该校占地480英亩，是一所现代高科技设施与古典建筑相结合的花园式高等学府。除了在地处于Mount Pleasant的主校区提供学位课程外，在密歇根州及北美还设有43个校区外的教学中心。
该校声誉卓著，共提供200余种本科、硕士、博士等学位课程。学校积极为在校学生提供实习及研究机会。该校设有商业管理学院，艺术交流学院，教育与人类服务学院，健康学院，人文及社会学学院，科学技术学院六大学院。在有16个以下博士专业的全美研究性学校中，CMU全美排名前20。同时也是中西部唯一有岛上研究站（(Beaver Island)的两所学校之一。
这所闻名遐迩的公立学校，在全美级学校中的毕业率在前17名。是该州唯一一所和州残奥会合作的学校，而且CMU已经成功举办了36届州夏季奥运会。
